    Robert King

    We are sad to report Robert King's death on 8th January 2020. Robert was a larger than life caricature who was commodore 1995 to 1997. Robert used his commercial skills to negotiate our previous lease, managing to not only negotiate some more water time but some good lease rates.     Club Walk 23/2/20

    The club walk will take place on the last weekend before the season starts on Sunday 23rd Feb 2020. We start at around 10.50 am and walk to the Black Horse at Caythorpe, which takes just over an hour normally.     Colin Reed

    It with great sadness we report that Colin Reed (84) died last Sunday 29th December. As many of you will know Colin ran the bar for many years, starting from the time before we had a club house (we were in portacabins) providing an excellent choice of beers, wines and other drinks, all dispensed with a smile.     County Cooler 18/19th Jan 2020

    The County Cooler is an inter club event involving Notts County, Ogston & Staunton, all within 3/4 hour of each other. The idea is some winter racing for dinghies (and windsurfers at Notts County). Entry is free to paid up members of each club at each venue, visitors can also join in for a fee.   • Sailing season

    Just a reminder that after Monday (30th Sept) sailing is only permitted on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday plus one week of Notts half term (plus half term week week 21st to 25th Oct we can sail all week, the following week (as we read the email from the agent) we need to clear the water well before sunset as the shoot may be coming through so all off by 3pm (28th Oct to 1st Nov)
