The RYA Youth Dinghy Stage 1 Start Sailing course is an introduction to the parts of the boat and the basic principles of how to get a boat sailing.

Course pre-requisites: None

The RYA Youth Dinghy Stage 3 Start Sailing course builds confidence and develops the skills needed to sail in different directions in moderate conditions.

Course pre-requisites: Sailing skills to the standard of Stage 3 (Improved rigging, sailing theory, launching and recovery. Confidence in a range of sailing techniques on all points of sail and capsize recovery.)
For our Stage 3 or 4 (intermediate) courses and advanced courses, we prefer students to use their own boat. Please tell us if you will be using your own boat, or require the loan of a club boat for the course. We also require participants to practise sailing regularly through i.e. Saturday Club, club racing.
