Notice of Race Race boards & T15 Windsurfing Open

1.RULES

1.1.The event will be run under the Racing Rules of Sailing 2021-2024, the UKWA class rules.

1.2.All class rules shall be as per UKWA see www.ukwindsurfing.com unless specified otherwise.

2.ELIGABILITY AND ENTRY

2.1.The regatta is open to all current National fleet 9.5 & 7.5 Raceboards and all National Junior & Team 15 fleets.

2.2.The T15 event is described in the Team15 Interclub 2024 Notice of Race which refers to sailing instructions available at www.techno293.org.uk

2.3.All craft must enter by completing an entry form and paying the relevant fee.

2.4.Registration and fee payment online via the page:- https://members.ncsc.org.uk//event/759153

Enter by "ticket" using either the link "Windsurfer Adult Open Entry & Fee payment", "Windsurfer Under 19 Open Entry & Fee payment" or "Windsurfer T15 Open Entry & Fee payment".

2.5.Note you will be prompted to Login. Please create a "guest" account to facilitate this. Your details will be deleted after the event.

Online entries will close by 6.00pm on 21st June 2024

2.6.Late entries will be accepted at the club on the race day using the NCSC Open meeting entry form. Credit card payment may be possible via the club's credit card reader.

3.FEES

3.1.Adult - £15

3.2.Junior - £8.00 (anyone under 19 years on 31 December 2023.)

4.SCHEDULE

4.1.Earliest start for 1st Race - 11.00 (Briefing approx. 10.30am)

4.2.Number of races sailed to be decided and announced on the day.

4.3.Times of further races will be displayed on the official race board outside the race office and may be held back to back.

5.SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

5.1.The sailing instructions for 9.5 & 7.5 Raceboards are available at www.ncsc.org.uk/open-meeetings/ and are downloadable via on line entry site

5.2.Any changes to the sailing instructions will be posted on the official race board outside the Race Office before the commencement of the first race.


6.THE COURSES

6.1.There will be two courses:

6.1.1.Full course for 9.5 & 7.5 Raceboards & Techno 5.8, 6.8 and 7.8

6.1.2.Smaller course for Techno 4.5 and 3.5

7.SCORING SYSTEM

7.1.The Low Points scoring System will be used.

8.PRIZES

8.1.Prizes will be awarded for the leading 9.5 & 7.5 Raceboards overall.

8.2.Further prizes may be awarded and will be announced at the briefing.

8.3.No weight groups, no age divisions other than Team 15 and no gender divisions will apply.

9.DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

9.1.Competitors participate in the event entirely at their own risk (see RRS 4). The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.

10.INSURANCE

10.1.All participants, or their representatives, shall complete an entry form to confirm that their craft is insured for third party liability to a minimum of £3 million.

11.FURTHER INFORMATION

11.1.Photos: Photos will be taken at the event. If you do not wish your face to appear, we will do our best to exclude provided you tell us in writing on the entry form. We use photos for publicity about NCSC & Windsurfing.
