RYA Youth Dinghy Stage 3 or 4 course Easter 2026

8th - 10 April 2026

Students can sign up for either a Stage 3 course (assumes skills to stage 2 standard) or the Stage 4 course (double-handed sailing) - prior experience to Stage 3 level expected

RYA Youth Dinghy Stage 3 Course Fee £175.00

The RYA Youth Dinghy Stage 3 Start Sailing course builds confidence and develops the skills needed to sail in different directions in moderate conditions.

Course pre-requisites: Sailing skills to the standard of Stage 3 (Improved rigging, sailing theory, launching and recovery. Confidence in a range of sailing techniques on all points of sail and capsize recovery.)
For our Stage 3 or 4 (intermediate) courses and advanced courses, we prefer students to use their own boat. Please tell us if you will be using your own boat, or require the loan of a club boat for the course. We also require participants to practise sailing regularly through i.e. Saturday Club, club racing. If you are not sure if you have the required experience for this course, please email ryadinghy@ncsc.org.uk.

RYA Youth Dinghy Stage 4 Course Fee £175.00

Learn how to sail a double-handed boat as crew or helm and solve a variety of problems afloat during the RYA Youth Dinghy Stage 4 Start Sailing course.

Course pre-requisites: Sailing skills to the standard of Stage 3 (Improved rigging, sailing theory, launching and recovery. Confidence in a range of sailing techniques on all points of sail and capsize recovery.)
